Shopfront Gallery
In 1982 BUGA-UP was invited to participate in a window installation in a shopfront gallery in Petersham.
The group produced two 3D installations, 600mm cubes containing various items.
- The first cube showed the confusion of cigarette advertising competing for visual space. Cigarette advertisements were pasted to the walls while the base was littered with cigarette buts and crushed packets. A collection of mobile arms dangled across the space to add more visual pollution.
- The second cube showed the response form BUGA-UP, a small panel of refaced billboards and some BUGA-UP products - spray cans and "playing cards".
